Lenovo tab 4 8 PLUS - Email Account Password and Server Settings

To configure personal email server settings (e.g., password, Exchange server, etc.), follow these steps.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Tap Gmail Gmail icon.
  3. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap the Settings icon Settings icon.
  4. Select the appropriate email address.
    Note Multiple accounts may appear.
  5. From the 'Server settings' section, do one of the following:
    • For incoming settings:
      1. Tap Incoming settings.
      2. Edit any of the following:
        Note Available settings may vary depending upon the email account type.
        • Username
        • Password
        • Server
          Note If you're not sure what your server info is, here are some common personal email server addresses. Contact your email provider if additional assistance is needed or your server info isn't listed.
        • Port
        • Security type
      3. Tap DONE.
    • For outgoing settings:
      1. Tap Outgoing settings.
      2. Edit any of the following:
        Note Available settings may vary depending upon the email account type.
        • Username
        • Password
        • SMTP server
          Note If you're not sure what your server info is, here are some common personal email server addresses. Contact your email provider if additional assistance is needed or your server info isn't listed.
        • Port
        • Security type
      3. Tap DONE.
