Lenovo tab 4 8 PLUS - Windows® Device Manager Conflicts

If you can't transfer pictures, music or videos between your device and PC, view this info on resolving conflicts.

Start Device Manager.

  • Windows 10: Right-click Start > Device Manager.
  • Windows 8: Right-click Start Screen > All Apps > Control Panel > System and Security > Device Manager.
  • Windows 7: Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Device Manager.

The following devices are normally installed:
Note Depending upon the selected USB connection (e.g., Media device, Camera, USB debugging, etc.), some of the devices may not appear.

  • DVD/CDROM drives: Lenovo CDROM USB Device
  • Human Interface Devices: HID-compliant vendor-defined device, USB Input Device
  • Portable devices: Lenovo TB-8704V
  • Software devices: Lenovo TB-8704V [#]
  • Sound, video and game controllers: Lenovo TB-8704V
  • Universal Serial Bus controllers: USB Composite Device, USB Mass Storage Device
  • Universal Serial Bus devices: ADB Interface

Note If a red X, yellow ! or yellow ? is displays to the left of a listed device, a conflict is present and the drivers must be updated or reinstalled.
Note Driver conflicts may also be indicated by a device entry labeled Other Devices or Unknown.

If a conflict is present:

  1. Right-click the device then click Update Driver Software.
  2. Click Browse my computer for driver software.
  3. Enter C:\Windows\System 32\Drivers in the search field then click Next.
    Note The driver location can be entered manually or navigated to by clicking Browse.
    Note If the driver software is not found, a Windows operating system update may be needed.
  4. Click Close.
