Samsung Galaxy S10 5G - Create a New Google™ Account

Note If you already have an account, refer to Add an Existing Google Account.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Accounts and backup > Accounts.
  3. Tap Add account.
  4. Tap Google.
    Note If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  5. From the 'Google Sign in' screen tap Create account (bottom-left).
  6. Enter the appropriate name into the 'First' and 'Last' fields then tap Next (lower-right):
  7. Enter your birthday and gender into the appropriate fields.
  8. Enter the desired info into the 'Username' field then tap Next.
  9. Enter a password into the following fields then tap Next:
    Note The password must be at least 8 characters.
    • Create password
    • Confirm password
  10. From the 'Add your phone number' screen, ensure the correct phone number is listed, tap Next then tap Verify.
    Note A verification message is sent to the device.
    Note If you don't wish to include a recovery phone number, tap Skip.
  11. To continue, review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy then tap I Agree (lower-right).
    Note To review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, tap the appropriate link and language then tap Close when finished.
  12. If presented, tap the Back up to Google Drive switch to turn on Switch on or off Switch off then tap Agree.
  13. From the 'Thanks' screen, tap Next.
