Sonim XP5s® - Activate / Set Up Device

If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating the new device.

Caution To avoid potential issues, review the following:

 

  1. If powered off, press and hold the Red phone button Red phone button.
    Power on Sonim
  2. Select the appropriate language then select Next.
    Note Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select.

  3. From the 'Accessibility' screen, select Next.

  4. From the 'Phone Complete' screen, select Next.
    Note If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).
    Note If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.

  5. From the 'Verizon Cloud' screen, select Next.

  6. From the 'Setup Complete' screen, tap Done.
    Note If presented with 'Location consent', review the disclaimer carefully then select 'Agree' or 'Disagree' as needed.
