Sonim XP5s® - Soft Reset

Note Notes:

  • A soft reset (turning the device off then back on) is similar to restarting a desktop computer and is one of the first steps in troubleshooting a device. In most cases, a soft reset won't affect data on the device, unless the battery is very low.
  • If the device won't power on, plug into the provided wall charger then press and hold the Power + Volume Up buttons for a full 12 seconds.
    Note If the device still doesn't power on, press and hold the Power, Volume Up and Volume Down buttons for a full 1-2 minutes.
  • If the device is unresponsive and you're unable to perform a soft reset, remove then re-insert the battery.

 

 

  1. Press and hold the Red phone button Red Phone/Power button until the 'Phone options' screen appears then release.
    Press and hold the power button
  2. From the 'Power off?' prompt, select OK.
    Note Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select.
