Samsung Galaxy Note10 - Configure Broadcast Settings - Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot

To change the Wi-Fi broadcast settings for your Mobile Hotspot, follow these steps.

Note To avoid interference with other Wi-Fi networks, try using non-overlapping channels (i.e., 1, 6, or 11).

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Connections Connections icon > Mobile Hotspot and Tethering.
  3. Tap Mobile Hotspot.
  4. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-right) then tap Configure Mobile Hotspot.
  5. Tap Show advanced options.
  6. From the 'Broadcast channel' section, tap Use 5 GHz band when available to turn on or off.
    Note On when checkmark present.
  7. Tap the Dropdown menu Dropdown menu below 2.4 GHz then select a channel (e.g., Auto, 1, 7, etc.).
  8. Tap Save (lower-right).
