Samsung Galaxy Note10 - Manage RTT Settings

Note Notes:

  • Real-time text (RTT) is text transmitted instantly as it is typed or created. Recipients can immediately read the message while it is being written, without waiting.
  • When RTT is enabled on both devices, no audio is heard on the call.
  • If you aren't hearing audio on a call, make sure RTT is turned off.
  • No additional device needed.

Enable RTT

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Accessibility Accessibility icon > Hearing enhancements.
  3. Tap Real Time Text.
  4. Tap Always visible to turn the RTT keyboard on On switch icon or off Off switch icon.

Make a Call with RTT

  1. With RTT enabled, from a Home screen, tap the Phone icon Phone icon.
    Note If not available, swipe up from the center of the display then tap Phone.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • From the Keypad tab (lower-left), enter a 10-digit number then tap the RTT call icon RTT call icon (bottom).
    • From the Contacts tab (lower-right), select a contact then tap the RTT call icon.
