Samsung Galaxy A20 - Set Up Fingerprint Recognition
A fingerprint is utilized to unlock the device.
For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and free of moisture, dirt, oil, lotion, dyes, etc.
Up to 3 fingerprints can be registered on the device.
From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
Navigate: Settings > Biometrics and security.
From the Biometrics section, tap Fingerprints.
Enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
If no screen lock is active, tap Continue and select a lock option (e.g., Pattern, PIN or Password) then follow the steps to complete the process.
Refer to Set Up Screen Lock for assistance.
Follow the on-screen tutorial to scan your fingerprint. Repeat as necessary until the process is complete.
Fingerprint scanner is located on the back of the device above the Samsung logo.
Tap Done (lower-right).
Tap the Fingerprint unlock switch to turn on or off .
