Samsung Galaxy Note10 - Windows® Device Manager Conflicts

If you can't transfer pictures, music or videos between your device and PC, view this info on resolving conflicts.

Start Device Manager.

  • Windows 10: Right-click Start > Device Manager.
  • Windows 8: Right-click Start Screen > All Apps > Control Panel > System and Security > Device Manager.
  • Windows 7: Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Device Manager.

The following devices are normally installed:
Note Depending upon the selected USB connection (e.g. Charging, File Transfer, USB debugging, etc.), some of the devices may not appear.

  • Android Device: SAMSUNG Android ADB Interface
  • DVD/CD-ROM drives: SAMSUNG File-Stor Gadget USB Device
  • Modems: SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem
  • Portable Devices: Galaxy Note10
    Note Device name reflects your device model (e.g., Galaxy Note10+, Galaxy Note10+ 5G)
  • Software devices: MIDI function [#]
  • Sound, video and game controllers: MIDI function
  • Universal Serial Bus Controllers: SAMSUNG Mobile USB Composite Device, USB Mass Storage Device, USB Composite Device
  • Universal Serial Bus devices: ADB Interface

Note If a red X, yellow ! or yellow ? displays to the left of a listed device, a conflict is present and the drivers must be updated or reinstalled.
Note Driver conflicts may also be indicated by a device entry labeled 'Other Devices' or 'Unknown'.

If a conflict is present:

  1. Right-click the device then click Update Driver Software.
  2. Click Browse my computer for driver software.
  3. Enter C:\Windows\System 32\Drivers in the search field then click Next.
    Note The driver location can be entered manually or navigated to by clicking Browse.
    Note If the driver software is not found, a Windows operating system update may be needed.
  4. Click Close.
