Unblock SIM PIN - VZAccess® Manager v7 (Windows®)

Note The PIN Unblocking Key (PUK) is utilized to reset a blocked SIM card.

  • For Postpaid accounts, you must obtain the PUK via the My Verizon website before proceeding.
  • For Prepaid accounts, contact customer service to obtain the PUK before proceeding.


  1. Open VZAccess Manager.
    Note From the Windows desktop, click Start > All Programs (Programs) > VZAccess Manager.
    Note With Windows 10, click Start > Apps icon Apps Menu icon (located in the top-left corner) > All apps (located in the bottom-left corner) > VZAccess Manager.
    Note If presented with Unblock SIM card window, skip to step 4.
  2. Click Options > Preferences.

  3. From the WWAN Device option, click Unblock SIM PIN.

  4. Enter the following information then click OK.
    PIN Unblocking Key (PUK)
    The 8-digit key obtained from Verizon Wireless.
    New PIN
    A PIN code consisting of 4 to 8-digits.
    Confirm new PIN
    Retype desired PIN code.
    Note If an invalid PUK is entered too many times, the SIM card is permanently disabled.

  5. If presented, click OK.
