Edit an Update - Family Locator

To edit, delete or de-activate a Scheduled Update or a Arrival/Departure Update via the Family Locator website, view this info.

Caution Effective 5/13/19, Family Locator will be discontinued and transitioned to Verizon Smart Family™. Refer to these FAQs for more info.

Note Only the Account Owner or an Account Manager with full online access can perform these steps. Refer to Account Roles for additional info.

  1. From a computer, visit Family Safeguards & Controls.
  2. Click View Details & Edit (located on the right in the Family Locator section).
  3. Click Locate Your Family.
    Click Locate Your Family
  4. From the Updates tab, click Edit (located to the right of the desired family member).
  5. Edit as desired then click Save.
    • Make changes to the update as desired then click Save.
    • To remove the update, click Delete.
    • To deactivate the update, click Deactivate.
  6. If presented, click Yes.
