Windows® Device Manager Conflicts - Motorola Barrage™

Start Device Manager.

  • Windows 10
    • Right-Click Start > Device Manager.
  • Windows 8
    • Right-Click Start Screen > All Apps > Control Panel > System and Security > Device Manager.
  • Windows 7
    • Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Device Manager.

The following devices are normally installed:

  1. Modems: Motorola USB Modem
  2. Ports (COM & LPT): Motorola USB Diagnostic Port (COM x)
  3. Universal Serial Bus controllers: Motorola USB Composite Device

Note If a red X, yellow ! or yellow ? is displayed to the left of a listed device, a conflict is present and the drivers must be updated or reinstalled.
Note Driver conflicts may also be indicated by a device entry labeled Other Devices or Unknown.

If a conflict is present:

  1. Ensure that the device drivers are installed. Refer to Install USB drivers or Download and Install VZAccess Manager for additional assistance.
    Note If device drivers are installed and a driver conflict is still present, continue to step 2.
  2. Right-click the device then click Update Driver.
    Note The device name may vary from the example.

  3. Click Browse my computer for driver software.

  4. Enter C:\Program Files\Common Files\Motorola Shared\MotPCSDrivers\Drivers in the search field then click Next.
    Note The driver location can be entered manually or navigated to by clicking Browse.

  5. Click Close.
