Enable / Disable / Modify the SIM PIN - VZAccess® Manager v7 (Macintosh)

Note Notes:

  • Enabling the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Personal Identification Number (PIN) locks the SIM card so it can't be used until the correct code is entered.
  • If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to Locating the 4G SIM PIN/PUK - My Verizon Website to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).
  • To enable, disable, or modify SIM PIN, Network Mode must be set to GSM. Refer to Changing the Network Selection for assistance.

  1. From the desktop, navigate: Finder > Applications > VZAccess Manager.
  2. From Menu Bar, click: VZAccess Manager > Preferences.
  3. Choose one of the following:

Enabling SIM PIN

  1. From the Security preference, select "Enable SIM card PIN".
  2. Enter the current PIN code into the SIM Card PIN field then click Save (located in the lower-right).
    Note The default PIN code is 1111.

Disabling SIM PIN

  1. From the Security preference, select "Disable SIM card PIN".
  2. Enter the current PIN code into the SIM Card PIN field then click Save (located in the lower-right).
    Note The default PIN code is 1111.

Modifying SIM PIN

  • From the Security preference, select Change SIM PIN.
  • Enter the following information then click Save (located in the lower-right):
    Note SIM PIN must be enabled in order to access the Change SIM PIN option.
    • SIM Card PIN
      Note The default PIN code is 1111.
      • The default or last modified PIN code.
    • New PIN
      • A PIN code consisting of 4 to 8-digits.
    • Confirm New PIN
      • Retype desired PIN code.
