  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu button.
  2. Select Options.

  5. Select the current setting in the Status field.

  6. Select the desired option.
    • Enabled
    • Disabled

  7. If the firewall is enabled, select the desired service(s) to block.
    Note Repeat this step to block additional services.
    Note If the firewall is disabled, skip to step 8.
    • Block Incoming Messages
      • SMS
      • MMS
      • PIN
      • BlackBerry Internet Service
      • Enterprise email

    1. If desired, select exception options.
      Note If only Contacts is selected, skip to step 8.
      Contacts
      Incoming messages from the contact list are not blocked.
      Specific addresses
      Incoming messages from specific addresses (Firewall Exceptions list) are not blocked.

    2. Press the Menu button then select Configure Exceptions.

    3. Press the Menu button then select Add Email Address / Phone Number / PIN.

    4. Enter an Email Address / Phone Number / PIN.

    5. Press the Menu button then select Save.

  8. Press the Menu button then select Save.

  1. From the Home screen All tray, select Options.
    Note To expand the tray, press the Menu button then select Open Tray.

  2. Select Security Options.

  4. Under the General section, select Enable to enable/disable the firewall.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.

  5. If the firewall is enabled, select the desired service(s) to block.
    Note Repeat this step to block additional services.
    Note If the firewall is disabled, skip to step 6.
    • Block Incoming Messages
      • Text Messages
      • PIN
      • Personal Email
      • Enterprise Email

    1. If desired, select Exception options.

    2. After selecting the desired Exceptions options, select Add.
