Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN - VZAccess® Manager (Windows®) - 4G

Note Enabling the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Personal Identification Number (PIN) locks the SIM card so it can't be used until the correct code is entered. If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to Locating the 4G SIM PIN/PUK - My Verizon Website to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).

  1. Launch VZAccess Manager.
    Note From the Windows desktop, navigate: Start > All Programs (Programs) > VZAccess Manager.
    Note With Windows 10, click Start > Apps icon Apps Menu icon (located in the top-left corner) > All apps (located in the bottom-left corner) > VZAccess Manager.

  2. If presented, enter the PIN then click OK.
    Note The default PIN is 1111.
  3. Click Options > Preferences.

  1. From Device Settings, click Enable SIM PIN.

  2. Enter the current PIN code then click OK.
    Note The default PIN code is 1111.
    Enter the current PIN code
  3. Click OK.

  1. From Device Settings, click Disable SIM PIN.
    Click Disable SIM PIN
  2. Enter the current PIN code.
    Note The default PIN code is 1111.
    Enter the current PIN code
  3. Click OK.
    Click OK

Modifying SIM PIN

  1. From Device Settings, click Modify SIM PIN.
    Note SIM PIN must be enabled in order to access this option.
    Click Modify SIM PIN
  2. Enter the following information then click OK.
    Current PIN code
    The default or last modified PIN code.
    New PIN code
    A PIN code (4 to 8 digits).
    Confirm new PIN code
    Re-enter the new PIN code.
    Note The default PIN code is 1111.
    Change SIM PIN
  3. Click OK.
    Click OK
