Wireless Network Security Settings - Verizon Wireless Fivespot™Global Ready™3G Mobile Hotspot

To control the security requirements of the devices connecting to your Fivespot, view this info.

  1. Access the Verizon Wireless Fivespot Home Page.
    Ensure the device is in Wi-Fi Mode.
    Launch a web browser then navigate to 192.168.0.1.
    Refer to Connecting to a Wi-Fi network for additional assistance. Select the appropriate option:
    VZAccess Manager
    Macintosh OS X
    Windows
  2. Enter the user name / password then click Login.
    The default user name / password is admin / admin.
  3. Click WiFi Settings.

  4. From the Wi-FI Settings tabs, click on Basic.
    1. Click the Maximum connected Wi-Fi devices drop down menu.
    2. Select the desired number of connected devices (1-5 connections).
    3. Click Apply (located to the right).
  5. From the Security > Wireless Lan Security section, select the preferred Authentication Type and Keys / Pass Phrase then click Apply (located to the right).

Open 

To use Open Authentication, select the Encrypt Type (WEP or No Encryption). When using WEP encryption, select the Default Key then enter the preferred WEP Key(s). Click Apply (located to the right).

To use Shared Authentication, select the Default Key then enter the preferred WEP Key(s). Click Apply (located to the right).
