Install the GPS Extension Cable - Verizon Wireless 3G Network Extender - 1X / EvDO / Business

These instructions are for customers having issues with GPS connectivity and are unable obtain a blue GPS LED.

Note Notes:

  • If a stable GPS signal is not detected, the GPS antenna cable (mini-coax) should be installed.
  • For best results, place the Network Extender in an elevated location near a window then position the GPS antenna horizontally (GPS letters facing up).
  • The Network Extender must remain upright to allow for venting.
  • If the steps listed do not resolve your setup issue, test your Network Extender at a friend or family members location.

 

  1. Ensure the Network Extender is powered off and disconnect the power cord from the power outlet.

  2. Ensure the wireless antenna is rotated down then open and remove the GPS antenna cover.

  3. Press down then detach the GPS antenna.

  4. Remove the GPS antenna from its compartment then connect it to the appropriate end of the GPS antenna cable (mini-coax included in the box).

  5. Connect the GPS antenna cable (mini-coax) to the GPS antenna cable (mini-coax) connector located within the GPS antenna compartment.
    Warning Do not force the cable into the mini-coax connector as this may damage it.

  6. Replace the GPS antenna cover while the mini-coax cable is threaded through the opening.
    Note After install, verify the antenna is returned to the full upright position.
