Enabling/Disabling Microsoft TCP/IP version 6 (TCP/IPv6)

  1. Open Network Connections.
    Note From the Windows XP desktop, navigate: Start > (Settings) Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections > Network Connections.
    Note From the Windows Vista desktop, navigate: Start > (Settings) Control Panel > View network status and tasks (Network and Sharing Center) > Manage network connections.
    Note From the Windows 7 desktop, navigate: Start > (Settings) Control Panel > View network status and tasks (Network and Internet) > Change Adapter Settings.
  2. Right-click the 4G LAN adapter then click Properties.
  3. From the General tab, ensure Microsoft® TCP/IP version 6 is checked/unchecked then click OK.
    Note For Windows 7, click the Networking tab, ensure Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) is checked/unchecked then click OK.
    Note If Microsoft TCP/IP version 6 is not installed, refer to How to Install and Uninstall IPv6 for assistance.
