MAC / IP / Port Filtering - Samsung SCH-LC11 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot

Caution Filtering is an advanced networking feature, for additional assistance contact local computer technician or IT support. To obtain settings contact the application manufacturer.

Note IP Filtering is not available for the Presto.

MAC Filtering

  1. Access the Samsung Presto administration page.
  2. From the Home screen, click Security (located at the top of the page).
  3. From the Security section, click MAC Filtering.
  4. From the Enable MAC Filtering section, click the Enable MAC Filtering checkbox.
    Note Enabled when a checkmark is present.
  5. From the Trusted Client List section, enter the preferred trusted client MAC address then click Add Client.
    Note Repeat step to add additional trusted clients.
  6. Click Apply (located at the bottom).

 

Port Filtering

  1. Access the Samsung Presto administration page.
  2. From the Home screen, click Security (located at the top of the page).
  3. From the Security section, click Port Filtering.
  4. From the Enable Port Filtering section, click the Enable Port Filtering checkbox.
    Note Enabled when a checkmark is present.
  5. From the Allowed Applications section, select the preferred apps then click Apply (located at the bottom).
    Note The DNS (Domain Name server) app is selected by default when enabling Port Filtering.
    Note Allowed Applications are selected when a checkmark is present.
  6. To add custom apps, enter the preferred info for the following settings in the Custom Application section and select Apply.
    • Application Name
    • Port Range
    • Port Type
      • TCP/UDP
      • TCP
      • UDP
    Note To add additional custom apps, select Add then repeat steps.
