iCloud® Settings - Apple® iPhone® 4s

Note Notes:

  • iCloud requires iOS 5 or later on an iPhone 4 or later ; a Mac computer with OS X Lion; or a PC with Windows Vista or Windows 7 (Outlook 2007 or 2010 or an up-to-date browser is required for accessing email, contacts and calendars). Some features require a Wi-Fi connection. Some features are not available in all countries. Access to some services is limited to 10 devices.
  • To determine Device Software Version, refer to View Software Version.

 

  1. From the Home screen, navigate: Settings > iCloud.
    Note If prompted, enter the Apple ID and password then tap Sign In.
    Note If prompted to merge, tap Merge.
  2. If prompted to allow iCloud to use the location of your iPhone, tap an option:
    • Don't Allow
    • OK
  3. Drag the switches left or right to on Switch On or off Switch Off the iCloud options.
    • Mail
    • Contacts
    • Calendars
    • Reminders
    • Safari
    • Notes
    • News
    • Wallet
  4. Tap Keychain then tap the iCloud Keychain switch to to turn on Switch On or off Switch Off.
    Note If prompted, enter the iCloud password then tap OK.
  5. If prompted, tap the iCloud Keychain option then follow the appropriate screen prompts.
    Note Screen prompts could include entering existing security code or creating a new one.
    • Use Passcode
    • Create Different Code
  6. Tap iCloud (located in the upper-left).
  7. Tap iCloud Drive.
    Note If prompted, tap Upgrade to iCloud Drive.
  8. Tap any of the following switches to turn on Switch On or off Switch Off:
    • iCloud Drive
      Note Allows apps to store documents and data in iCloud.
    • Show on Home Screen
      Note Shows the iCloud app on Home screen.
    • Mail
    • Safari
    • Use Cellular Data
      Note When not connected to Wi-Fi, use cellular network to transfer documents and data.
  9. Tap Look Me Up By Email then tap any of the app switches to allow Switch On or not allow Switch Off.
    Note Apps that request permissions to allow others to look you up by email appear.
  10. Tap iCloud Drive (located in the upper-left) then tap iCloud.
  11. Tap Photos then tap the following switches to turn on Switch On or off Switch Off:
    • iCloud Photo Library
      Note Automatically uploads and stores entire library in iCloud to access photos/videos from all your devices.
    • My Photo Stream
      Note My Photo Stream is turned on when the switch is in the green position.
      Note Photo Stream automatically uploads new photos to iCloud and downloads them to all of your devices when connected to iCloud.
    • iCloud Photo Sharing
  12. Tap iCloud (located in the upper-left).
  13. Tap Backup then tap the iCloud Backup switch to turn on Switch On or off Switch Off.

  14. Tap iCloud (located in the upper-left).
  15. Tap Find My iPhone then tap the Find My iPhone switch to turn on Switch On or off Switch Off.
  16. If desired, tap the Send Last Location switch to turn on Switch On or off Switch Off then tap iCloud (located in the upper-left).
    Note Automatically sends location of device to Apple when battery is critically low.
  17. Tap Share My Location then tap the Share My Location switch to turn on Switch On or off Switch Off.
  18. Tap From then tap the desired location.
