  1. Access the Verizon Wireless MiFi Personal Hotspot page.
    Launch a web browser then navigate to http://vz.hotspot.
    Refer to Connecting to a Wi-Fi network for additional assistance. Select the appropriate option:
    Macintosh OS X
    Windows 7
    Windows Vista
    Windows XP
  2. Enter the password then click Login.
    The default password is located on a sticker on the back of the device.
  3. Select one of the following:
    System Info
    System Status
    Firmware
    Restart
    Reset to Factory Defaults

 

System Info

  1. Click the Home icon.
  2. View the WAN / WLAN info:
    • WAN
      • Network Provider
      • Network Type
      • Roam
      • Connection Status
      • Service Status
      • IP Address
      • Primary DNS
      • Secondary DNS
    • WLAN
      • Wi-Fi network name (SSID)
      • Channel
      • Security Type
      • IP Address
      • Subnet Mask
      • DHCP Server

System Status

  1. Click Advanced.
  2. From the Status tab view the modem status info:
    • Network Selection Mode
    • IMEI
    • Wireless Access Module Software Version
    • System Up Time

  1. Click Wi-Fi Settings.
  2. From the Firmware tab view the Firmware version.

Restart / Reset to Factory Defaults

  1. Click Advanced.
  2. From the Restore & Reboot tab, select an option:
    Reboot device
    Restarts the device. All Internet connections and Wi-Fi connections are lost during the restart.
    Restore to Factory Defaults
    Resets all Access Point and Router settings to factory default values. All existing settings are lost.

System Info

  1. From the main screen of the device, highlight the System Info icon then press the OK button.
    Note Press the Up and Down Arrow buttons to highlight then press the OK button to select.
  2. Select Network Provider.
  3. View the Network Provider then press the OK button.
  4. Select Network Type.
  5. View the type of network being used then press the OK button.
  6. Select Roam.
  7. View the Roam State then press the OK button.
  8. Select back.
  9. Select the Settings icon.
  10. Select Wi-Fi.
  11. Select Proceed.
  12. Select Channel.
  13. Select a channel.
    The current channel being used has a check mark next to it.
    If the current channel being used is the desired channel option, select back then press the OK button.

  1. From the main screen of the device, select the Settings icon then select OK.
    Note Press the Up and Down Arrow buttons to highlight then press the OK button to select.
  2. Select Device Information.
  3. View the MEID and the Software Version then press the OK button.
