Windows® Device Manager Conflicts - Samsung Brightside™

Start Device Manager.

  • Windows 10
    • Right-Click Start > Device Manager.
  • Windows 8
    • Right-Click Start Screen > All Apps > Control Panel > System and Security > Device Manager.
  • Windows 7
    • Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Device Manager.

The following devices are normally installed:

Modems
SAMSUNG Mobile Modem
Ports (COM & LPT)
SAMSUNG Mobile Modem Diagnostic Serial Port (COM x)
Universal Serial Bus controllers
SAMSUNG USB Composite Device
Device Manager
Note If a conflict is present, a red X, yellow ! or yellow ? is displayed to the left of a listed device or may be indicated by a device entry labeled Other Devices or Unknown. The drivers must be updated or reinstalled.
Conflict

If a conflict is present:

  1. Ensure that the device drivers are installed. Refer to Install USB drivers for additional assistance.
    Note If the device drivers are installed and a conflict is still present, continue to step 2.
  2. Right-click the device then click Update Driver Software.

  3. Click Browse my computer for driver software.
    Browse to driver
  4. Enter C:\Program Files\LG Electronics\LG USB Modem Driver into the search window then click Next.
    Note The driver location can be entered manually or navigated to by clicking Browse.

  5. Click Close.
