The Backup Assistant Plus Email (Sync and Connect) service was discontinued on 3/16/16.

From a Home screen, navigate: Apps
> Email.

Tap Other.

Enter the appropriate info (e.g., Email address, Password, etc.) then tap Next.
Depending upon the email account type, the available options may vary.

If presented, tap the appropriate account type (e.g., POP3, IMAP, etc.).
If not presented, account setup has completed. Skip to step 6.

Enter the appropriate info (e.g., SMTP server, Port, etc.) then tap Next

Configure the following Account options (e.g., Email check frequency, Notify me when email arrives, etc.) then tap Next.

Enter an account name (optional) then tap Done.
If presented, ensure a name is entered for outgoing messages.
