Manage Data Usage - DROID RAZR M by MOTOROLA / Luge™ by Motorola

To change the data usage cycle on your device, view data usage and set data warnings and limits, view this info.

Note Notes: 

  • Data usage info provided by the device may differ from actual usage. For data usage info provided by Verizon Wireless, refer to the My Verizon website.

  • To control data usage on your account, refer to Verizon Smart Family™.

 

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps Apps icon (located at the bottom).
  2. From the APPS tab, tap Settings.
  3. From the WIRELESS & NETWORKS section, tap Data usage then do one of the following:
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
      1. From the Data usage cycle field, tap the drop-down menu.
      2. Tap Change cycle.
      3. Select the appropriate date then tap Set.
        Note Refer to the My Verizon website for the billing cycle date.
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange warning line.
    1. Tap Set mobile data limit.
      Note Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    2. If presented, review the message then tap OK.
    3. Touch and hold the orange dot (to the right of the warning line).
    4. Drag the warning line to the desired level (e.g. 1.8GB) then release.
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Caution Mobile / cellular data is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependant upon a data connection (e.g. browser, email, Market, etc.), Wi-Fi can be used or the mobile data limit must be manually adjusted (overage charges may apply).
    1. Tap Set mobile data limit.
      Note Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    2. If presented, review the message then tap OK.
    3. Touch and hold the red dot (to the right of the limit line).
    4. Drag the limit line to the desired level (e.g. 2.0GB) then release.
      Note Ensure the limit line is within plan allowances.
