Set Up Device - Samsung Galaxy™ Stratosphere™ II

If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating the new device.

Caution To avoid potential issues, review the following: 


  1. If powered off, press and hold the Power button (located on the right edge) until the Samsung logo appears then release.
  2. From the Language Selection screen, tap the appropriate option then tap Next (located in the lower-right).
    Note Allow several seconds for activation to complete.
  3. From the 'Congratulations! Your Verizon Wireless phone is now active' screen, tap Next.
  4. From the Setup wizard screen, review the Terms and Conditions then tap Next to continue.
    Note To review, tap Terms and Conditions then tap the Back icon Back (located below the display) when finished.
  5. From the Backup Assistant Plus restore contacts screen, tap Next.
    Note To disable contact syncing, ensure Sync contacts is unchecked.
  6. From the 'Choose an account to set up' screen, tap Done with accounts.
    Note If prompted to restore an account, tap Skip.
  7. From the Privacy Caution and Data Usage screen, review the information then tap Next.
  8. From the Location Consent screen, configure settings (e.g., VZW Location Services, etc.) then tap Next.
    Note Enabled when a check mark Check box icon is present.
    Note If presented, review the disclaimer then tap Agree to continue.
  9. From the My Verizon mobile screen, tap Next.
  10. From the Google account overview screen, tap Next.
  11. From the Got Google screen, navigate: No > Not now.
  12. From the 'Your Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II is now ready' screen, tap Done with setup.
