Email Account Password and Server Settings - Samsung Galaxy Note® II

To configure personal email server settings (e.g., password, Exchange server, etc.), follow these steps.

  1. From a home screen, tap Apps Applications icon (located in the lower right).
  2. From the Apps tab, tap Email.
  3. From an Inbox, tap Menu Menu button icon (located at the bottom).
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Tap Account settings.
  6. Tap the appropriate email account.
  7. Tap More settings.
  8. Tap Exchange server settings.
  9. Ensure the appropriate information is entered into the following fields then tap Done:
    Note Depending upon the email account type, the available settings may vary.
    • Email address
    • Username
    • Password
    • POP3 server/IMAP server
      Note If you're not sure what your server info is, here are some common personal email server addresses. Contact your email provider if additional assistance is needed or your server info isn't listed.
    • Security type
    • Port
    • Delete email from server
  10. If available, tap Outgoing settings.
  11. Enter the appropriate information into the following fields then select Done.
    Note Depending upon the email account type, the available settings may vary.
    • SMTP server
    • Security type
    • Port
    • Require sign-in
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
      Note If applicable, ensure the appropriate authentication method, username and password are entered.
