Add a Virtual Private Network - Samsung Galaxy Camera®

A virtual private network (VPN) encrypts your internet traffic and protects your online identity via a secured remote server and is most commonly used when remotely accessing company systems (e.g., company email, intranet sites, etc.).

Note Contact the VPN administrator for assistance with server information and credentials.

  1. From the home screen, select Apps (lower-right).
  2. From the APPS tab, select Settings.
  3. Select More settings.
  4. Select VPN.
  5. If presented with a lock screen notification, select OK.
    Note Refer to Setup screen lock (Pattern, PIN, or Password only) for assistance.
  6. Select Add VPN network.
  7. From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
  8. From the Type field, select the current setting.
  9. Select the appropriate VPN type:

 

PPTP

  1. From the Server address field, enter the appropriate address.
  2. Select the following as applicable:
    Note Enabled when a check mark Check mark icon is present.
    • PPP encryption (MPPE)
    • Show advanced options
      Note If enabled, select the applicable fields then enter the appropriate information:
      • Forwarding routes
      • DNS servers
      • DNS search domains
  3. Select Save (lower-right).

L2TP/IPSec PSK

  1. Enter the appropriate information into the following fields:
    • Server address
    • L2TP secret
    • IPSec identifier
    • IPSec pre-shared key
  2. If applicable, select Show advanced options.
    Note Enabled when a check mark Check mark icon is present.
    Note If enabled, select the applicable fields then enter the appropriate information:
    • Forwarding routes
    • DNS servers
    • DNS search domains
  3. Select Save (lower-right).

L2TP/IPSec RSA

  1. Enter the appropriate information into the following fields:
    • Server address
    • L2TP secret
    • IPSec user certificate
    • IPSec CA certificate
  2. If applicable, select Show advanced options.
    Note Enabled when a check mark Check mark icon is present.
    Note If enabled, select the applicable fields then enter the appropriate information:
    • Forwarding routes
    • DNS servers
    • DNS search domains
  3. Select Save (lower-right).

  1. Enter the appropriate information into the following fields:
    • Server address
    • IPSec identifier
