Email Account Password and Server Settings - Samsung Galaxy Note® 10.1

To configure personal email server settings (e.g., password, Exchange server, etc.), follow these steps.

  1. From a Home screen navigate: Apps icon Applications icon > Email.
  2. From an Inbox, tap the Menu icon 3 Bar menu icon (located in the upper right).
  3. Tap Account Settings.
  4. Select the appropriate account.
  5. From the Server settings section, tap Incoming settings.
  6. Edit any of the following then tap Done (located in the lower right):
    Note The available settings may vary depending upon the email account type.
    • Domain\Username
    • Password
    • Server
    • Use secure connections (SSL)
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Accept all SSL certificates
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  7. Tap Outgoing settings (if available).
  8. Edit any of the following then tap Done (located in the lower right):
    Note The available settings may vary depending upon the email account type.
    • SMTP server
    • Security type
      Note If applicable, tap the Dropdown menu dropdown menu to select security type.
    • Port
    • Requires sign-in
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
      Note If applicable, ensure the appropriate Username and Password are entered.
    • Username
    • Password
