Turn SIM PIN On / Off - Verizon 4G LTE USB Modem UML295

Note Notes:

  • Enabling the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Personal Identification Number (PIN) locks the SIM card so it can't be used until the correct code is entered.
  • If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to Locate the 4G SIM PIN/PUK to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).

 

  1. From Verizon Mobile Broadband Manager, click Menu (located in the upper-right).
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click SIM PIN (located within the Connectivity section on the left).
  4. Select (check or uncheck) Enable SIM Lock.
  5. From the Enter PIN field, enter the current SIM PIN.
    Note The default SIM PIN is 1111.
  6. Click Apply (located in the lower-right; may require scrolling to the bottom).
    1. To lock the SIM after enabling, select (check or uncheck) Lock SIM.
    2. From the Enter PIN field, enter the current SIM PIN.
      Note The default SIM PIN is 1111.
    3. Click Apply (located in the lower-right; may require scrolling to the bottom).
      Note The PIN must be entered the next time the Mobile Broadband Manager app is accessed.
