Wireless Network Security Settings - Verizon Jetpack® 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot - MHS291L

To view or change network security settings (e.g., Wi-Fi password, number of connected devices) for your Jetpack, see this info.

  1. Access the Admin Web Interface.
  2. From the left menu, click Jetpack Settings.
  3. From the Wi-Fi tab, configure Wi-Fi settings as desired:
    Note Depending upon the selected security type, available options may vary.
    • Wi-Fi On / Off
      Note Enabled when On is selected.
    • Wi-Fi Name (SSID) 
    • Display the Wi-Fi Name on Jetpack screen
      Note Enabled when set to ON.
    • Broadcast Wi-Fi name (SSID)
      Note Enabled when set to ON
    • Security
      • None
      • WEP 64-bit
      • WEP 128-bit
      • WPA-Personal/PSK (TKIP)
      • WPA2 Personal/PSK (AES) 
      • WPA/WPA2 Personal Mixed Mode
    • Wi-Fi password
      Caution If the Wi-Fi Password is changed, the network settings on the computer must updated. For assistance, select the appropriate operating system:
    • Display the Wi-Fi Password on Jetpack screen
      Note Enabled when set to ON.
    • Frequency (Channel)
      • 2.4 GHZ (Auto, 1-11)
      • 5.0 GHZ (149, 153, 157, 161, 165)
    • Max Wi-Fi Connections (1-10)
       Note This option limits the number of devices connected to Verizon Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot - MHS291L
    • 802.11 Mode
      • 802.11b + 802.11g
      • 802.11b only
      • 802.11g only
      • 802.11b + 802.11g + 802.11n
    • Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) Mode
      Note Enabled when set to On.
    • Wi-Fi privacy separation
      Note Enabled when set to On.
  4. Click Save Changes (located in the lower-right).
