Initial Setup for Windows

Note An active Internet connection isn't required to setup BlackBerry Link, but is needed to sign in to your BlackBerry ID and add devices running the BlackBerry 10 OS.

  1. Launch BlackBerry Link.
    Note From the Windows desktop, click Start > All Programs > BlackBerry > BlackBerry Link.
  2. From the 'Setup BlackBerry Link' screen, enter/configure the following then click Next:
    • Give your computer a display name
    • Pick your desktop music source
      • iTunes
      • Windows Media Player
  3. Enter your BlackBerry ID Username and Password then click Sign In.
    Note To bypass BlackBerry ID sign in, click Skip (located in the lower-right) then skip to step 5.
  4. From the 'Linked Devices' screen, click Next.
  5. From the 'Quick Tips' screen, review the information then click Finish.

Note To add a device after completing initial setup, refer to Add Device - BlackBerry Link.

Initial Setup for Macintosh

Note An active Internet connection isn't required to setup BlackBerry Link, but is needed to sign in to your BlackBerry ID and add devices running the BlackBerry 10 OS.

  1. Launch BlackBerry Link.
    Note From the Macintosh desktop, click Finder > Applications > BlackBerry Link.
  2. From the 'Welcome to BlackBerry Link' screen, click Next.
  3. Enter a computer display name then click Next.
  4. From the 'Set Up Your Computer Libraries' screen, ensure the desired libraries/folders are added then click Next.
    Note To add additional libraries/folders, click the plus (+) symbol located below the 'Documents' field, navigate to the appropriate location then click Open.
  5. From the 'Quick Tips Before Getting Started' screen, review the information then click Finish.

Note To add a device after completing initial setup, refer to Add Device - BlackBerry Link.
