Enterprise Activation - BlackBerry® Z10

note Notes:

  • Your corporate email address must be added to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) with the wireless activation feature enabled. Contact your BES Administrator for assistance with setup and password credentials.
  • The BlackBerry smartphone may need to be registered on the BlackBerry Network prior to attempting activation.

 

  1. From the Home screen, navigate: Settings > Accounts.
    Note If Settings is not available, swipe down from the top of the display.
  2. Tap Add Account (located at the bottom).
    Note If not available, skip to step 3.
  3. Tap Email, Calendar and Contacts.
  4. Enter the email address then tap Next (located in the upper-right).
  5. Enter the Activation Password then tap Next.
    Note This password differs from your email address password.
    Note Allow several minutes for the process to complete.
    Note If prompted for "Password" rather than "Activation Password", contact your BES Administrator for further assistance.
  6. If presented with the "Replace your work space?" screen, review the disclaimer, enter blackberry into the available field then tap OK.
    Note If not presented, skip to step 8.
  7. From the "Do you want to Add or Replace...?" screen, select the appropriate option:

    • Add
    • Replace
  8. If presented with the "Welcome to BlackBerry Balance" screen, tap Set Password.
    Note If not presented, skip to step 12.
  9. From the "Set Work Space Password" screen, enter a password into the following fields:
    Note If necessary, tap Password Rules to view password requirements.
    • Password
    • Confirm password
  10. To utilize the newly created Work Space Password as the device password, tap (check) Use as device password.
    Note Using the same password to lock or unlock the device and access your Work Space may not be permitted by your BES administrator.
  11. Tap OK.
    Note Allow several minutes for the process to complete.
  12. From the "Work Account" screen, enter your email address password into the "Password for" field then tap Done (located in the upper-right).
