Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN - BlackBerry® Z10

Note Enabling the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Personal Identification Number (PIN) locks the SIM card so it can't be used until the correct code is entered. If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to Locating the 4G SIM PIN/PUK - My Verizon Website to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).

  1. From the home screen, select Settings.
    Note If not available, swipe down from the top of the display (where the time is located).
  2. Select Security and Privacy.
  3. Select SIM Card.

Enable / Disable SIM PIN

  1. From the 'PIN Lock' section, select the 'SIM Card PIN Lock' On/Off switch.
    • On (Enabled)
    • Off (Disabled)
  2. Enter the current PIN then select OK.
    Note The default PIN is 1111.




Modify SIM PIN

Note The SIM card must be locked (PIN Lock enabled) in order to change the current SIM PIN.

  1. From the 'PIN Lock' section, select Change PIN 1.
  2. Enter the appropriate PIN into the following fields:
    Note The default SIM PIN is 1111.
    • Enter current PIN 1
    • Enter new SIM PIN 1
    • Confirm SIM PIN 1
  3. Select OK.
