Verizon Smart Family™ - Android® - Add Time Restrictions  

Note Notes:

  • During time restrictions:
    • the child device can't call, text or use cellular data; however, 911 is always allowed.
    • trusted contacts can always call and text.
    • Wi-Fi can still be used.
    • certain data services and apps (e.g., Data Usage Meter) are allowed.
  • To perform the steps below, you need to:
    • ensure the Smart Family app is installed on the parent device.
    • sign in to the app using a My Verizon user ID or mobile number that has Account Owner or Manager access privileges.
    • ensure the child device is powered off prior to adding or removing restrictions.

  1. From the Smart Family parent app, select the appropriate family member from the top row of contacts (multiple may appear).
  2. From the Manage controls section, tap Limits.
  3. Tap Time restrictions.
  4. You can perform any of the following:
  • To set school hours:
    1. Tap School hours.
    2. Select (check) the days of the week.
    3. Configure the start and end time.
    4. Tap Save (at the bottom).
  • To set night hours:
    1. Tap Night hours.
    2. Select (check) the days of the week.
    3. Configure the start and end time.
    4. Tap Save (at the bottom).
  • To add a new restriction:
    1. Tap Add a restriction (at the bottom).
    2. Enter a name.
    3. Select (check) the days of the week.
    4. Configure the start and end time.
    5. Tap Save (at the bottom).
