Manage Data Usage - Samsung Galaxy S® 4 mini

 

Note Notes:

  • Data usage info provided by the device may differ from actual usage. For data usage info provided by Verizon, refer to the My Verizon website.

  • To control data usage on your account, refer to Verizon Smart Family™.

 

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps > Settings > Data usage.
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Then do one of the following:
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
      1. From the Data usage cycle field, tap the Dropdown menu Drop down menu icon.
      2. Tap Change cycle.
      3. Tap the appropriate date then tap Set.
        Note Refer to the My Verizon website for billing cycle date.
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Caution Mobile / cellular data is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to use apps that require a data connection (e.g., Browser, Email, Market, etc.), Wi-Fi can be used or the mobile data limit must be manually adjusted (overage charges may apply).
      1. Tap Limit mobile data usage to enable or disable.
        Note Enabled when a checkmark is present.
      2. If presented with Limiting data usage screen, review the message then tap OK.
      3. Tap the red line.
      4. Tap the number.
      5. Enter the preferred data usage limit then tap Set.
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange warning line.
      1. Tap Alert me about data usage to enable or disable.
        Note Enabled when a checkmark is present.
      2. If presented with a data usage alert, tap OK.
      3. Tap the orange line.
      4. Tap the number.
      5. Enter the preferred warning limit then tap Set.
