Note Notes:

  • To share media files, an active Wi-Fi connection must be established. Refer to the following for assistance:
  • To play or copy media to / from other devices (e.g., computer, TV, etc.), they must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and may need to be configured for sharing. Refer to the user manual or contact the equipment manufacturer for assistance.
  • For assistance with setting up a Google® Chromecast™ device, refer to this page.
  • Some apps (e.g., YouTube™, Netflix®, etc.) support displaying the app contents on a remote display. Within the app, tap the Cast icon Cast icon then select the desired display from the list.

 

Here are a few ways to share your screen with a TV. A compatible TV or additional accessories may be required. Check with your TV manufacturer for additional support.

Share Your Screen

Note Follow these steps to view your entire screen contents on your TV.

  1. Connect the wireless adapter to the HDMI device using an HDMI cable.
  2. From a Home screen, tap Apps (located in the lower-right).
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  3. From the Apps tab, tap Settings.
  4. From the Wireless and networks section, tap More settings.
  5. From the Media share section, tap Screen Mirroring.
  6. Ensure the Screen Mirroring switch (in the upper-right) is turned on Switch On icon.
  7. From the Available devices section, select the device.
    Note If necessary, tap Scan (located at the bottom).

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps (located in the lower-right).

  2. From the Apps tab, tap Settings.
  3. From the Wireless and networks section, tap More settings.
  4. Tap Nearby devices.
  5. Ensure the Nearby devices switch (in the upper-right) is turned on Switch On icon.
  6. Tap Content to share.
  7. Tap any of the following to enable or disable then tap OK.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Videos
    • Photos
    • Music

Media Server Settings (DLNA)

Note Configure these settings to share files with a DLNA-enabled device (e.g., TV, game console, etc.). To determine whether your device supports the DLNA standard, see this product database.

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps (located in the lower-right).
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. From the Apps tab, tap Settings.
  3. From the Wireless and networks section, tap More settings.
  4. From the Media share section, tap Nearby devices.
  5. From the Advanced section, tap Content to share.
  6. Select any of the following then tap OK:
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Videos
    • Photos
    • Music
  7. Tap Allowed devices to view the allowed devices then tap OK.
  8. Tap Download to.
  9. Select one of the following:
    • Device
    • SD card
  10. Tap Download from other devices.
  11. Select one of the following:
    • Always accept
    • Always ask
    • Always reject
