Kid's Corner - Initial Setup - Nokia Lumia Icon

Note Kid's Corner is a location on the device where children can play with only the games, apps, music and videos that the user adds to Kid's Corner. Children flick the Lock Screen to access their own personal Start screen, which can be customized by the user. Kid's Corner operates above the Lock screen so children cannot change Start screen Tiles or have access to the device's apps or files outside of the Kid's Corner environment.

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left to display the apps list.
    Note Alternatively, tap All apps All Apps icon (located in the lower-right; may require scrolling to the bottom).
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Accounts.
  4. Tap Kid's Corner.
  5. Tap next (located in the lower-left).
  6. Select one of the following:
    • Games
    • Music
    • Videos
    • Apps
  7. Select (check) the the desired games, videos, music files or apps then tap Save (check mark icon located at the bottom).
    linote To add additional content items, repeat steps 5 and 6.
  8. Tap next.
  9. Tap skip (located in the lower-right).
    linote To set a lock screen password, tap set password then refer to Create a Device Password for assistance.
    linote If a lock screen password has already been setup on the device, the Kid's Corner password is the same password from lock screen settings.
  10. Tap finish.
  11. From the "Kid's Corner" screen, swipe up to access Kid's Corner.
  12. Tap OK.

Note To exit Kid's Corner, press the power button to turn the display off.
