USB Debugging Mode - HTC One®

If you need to facilitate a connection between your device and a computer with the Android SDK (software development kit), view this info.

Note Notes:

  • USB debugging is intended for development purposes only. It can be used to copy data between the computer and the device, install applications on the device without notification and read log data.
  • To access developer options, they must first be enabled.

Enable Developer Options.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings.
    Note If unavailable, tap the Apps dropdown menu Apps dropdown menu icon (located in the upper-left) then tap Alphabetical. If still unavailable, refer to Manage App Icons.
  2. Tap About.
  3. Tap Software information.
  4. Tap More.
  5. Tap Build number 7 times until You are now a developer! appears at the bottom of the screen.

 

Access Developer Options.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings.
    Note If unavailable, tap the Apps dropdown menu Apps dropdown menu icon (located in the upper-left) then tap Alphabetical. If still unavailable, refer to Manage App Icons.
  2. Tap Developer options.
  3. If prompted, tap OK.
  4. Ensure the Developer options switch (located in the upper right) is turned on On switch icon.
  5. Tap USB debugging to enable or disable.
    Note Enabled when a check mark Checkbox icon is present.
    Note If presented with Allow USB debugging screen, tap OK.
