Enable / Disable App - Samsung Galaxy Note® 3

Some apps that come pre-installed (e.g., calculator, Google Play™ Store, Verizon Cloud, Call Filter, etc.) on your Android™ device can't be uninstalled; however, they can be disabled (turned off) so they don't appear in the list of apps on your device.

Note The option to enable or disable an app may only be available for apps that can't be uninstalled.

Enable App

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps Applications icon (lower-right).
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. From the Apps tab, tap Settings.
  3. Tap Application manager.
  4. From the TURNED OFF tab, tap an app.
    Note To change tabs, swipe screen left or right.
  5. Tap TURN ON.

Disable App

Caution Disabling an app may cause related apps to function improperly.

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps Applications icon (lower-right).
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. From the Apps tab, tap Settings.
  3. Tap Application manager.
  4. From the ALL tab, tap an app.
    Note To change tabs, swipe screen left or right.
  5. Tap Force stop.
  6. Tap OK.
  7. Tap Disable.
  8. Tap OK.
