Verizon Ellipsis® 7 - Manage Data Usage

  1. From a Home screen, tap the Apps icon Apps icon.
  2. From the Apps tab, tap Settings.
  3. Tap Data usage then do one of the following: 
    • Set Mobile Data Limit
      Caution Mobile data (cellular data) is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependent upon a data connection (e.g., Browser, Email, Market, etc.), Wi-Fi connection can be used or Mobile data must be manually re-enabled (overage charges may apply).
    1. Tap Limit mobile data usage to enable.
      Note Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    2. If presented with Limiting data usage screen, review the message then tap OK.
    3. Tap the red line.
    4. Tap the number.
    5. Enter the preferred data usage limit then tap Set.
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange warning line.
      1. Tap Alert me about data usage to enable.
        Note Enabled when a checkmark is present.
      2. If presented with Data usage alert screen, review the message then tap OK.
      3. Tap the orange line.
      4. Tap the number.
      5. Enter the preferred warning limit then tap Set
    • Change Data Usage Cycle
    1. From the Data usage cycle field, tap the Dropdown menu Drop down menu icon.
    2. Tap Change cycle.
    3. Tap the appropriate date then tap Set.
      Note Refer to the My Verizon website for billing cycle date.
