View Battery Status - Samsung Galaxy Note® 3

Note Apps and processes are listed from highest to lowest percentage of power consumption. Review any high or unusual battery drain.

 

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps Apps icon (located in the lower right).
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. From the Apps tab, tap Settings.
  3. Tap Battery.
  4. Tap Show battery percentage to show the remaining battery percentage on the status bar.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  5. Review the battery manager for usage (e.g. Device idle, Cellular standby, Android System, etc.).
    Note Percentage indicates the remaining battery life and/or charging status.
  6. Tap the battery history graph.
    Note The Battery history graph displays the time since it was last charged to 100%.
  7. Review the history details.
    • Mobile network signal
      Note Signal strength has an affect on battery life.
      Green
      Very Good
      Gray
      Good
      Gold
      Moderate
      Yellow
      No Signal
      Red
      Scanning
      Black
      Radio Off
    • Wi-Fi
      Note Wi-Fi radio is on or off.
      Blue
      On
      Black
      Off
    • Awake
      Note Running tasks or apps, however the screen is not necessarily on.
      Blue
      On
      Black
      Off
    • Screen on
      Note Indicates the screen is visible, not in standby.
      Blue

    • Charging
      Note The charging line shows periods of partial charging since the last complete charge.
      Green
