Add a Personal Email Account - Verizon Ellipsis™ 7

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps.
    Note The center icon at the bottom when viewed in portrait or at the right in landscape.
    Home Screen select Apps
  2. From the Apps tab, select Settings.
    Apps Screen select Settings
  3. Select Add Account.
    Settings select Add Account
  4. Select Email.
    Settings Add Account select Email
  5. Configure the following info as appropriate then select Next.
    Note Depending upon the email account type, the available options may vary.
    • Email address
    • Password
    Email New Account enter Email Address & Password then select Next
  6. If presented, select the appropriate option:
    • POP3 account
    • IMAP account
    • Exchange
    Email New Account select from the available options
  7. Enter the appropriate info into the following fields then select Next.
    • Username
    • Password
    • POP3/IMAP Server
      Note If you're not sure what your server info is, here are some common personal email server addresses. Contact your email provider if additional assistance is needed or your server info isn't listed.
    • Security type
      • None
      • SSL/TLS
      • SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)
      • STARTTLS
      • STARTTLS (accept all certificates)
    • Port
    • Delete email from server
      • Never
      • When I delete from Inbox
    Email New Account enter the information in the fields then select Next
  8. Enter the appropriate information into the following fields then select Next.
    • SMTP server
    • Security type
      • None
      • SSL/TLS
      • SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)
      • STARTTLS
      • STARTTLS (accept all certificates)
    • Port
    • Require sign-in
      Note Enabled when a blue check mark is present.
    • Username
    • Password
    Email New Account enter the information in the fields then select Next
  9. From the Account options screen, configure the following as appropriate then select Next.
    Note Enabled when a blue check mark is present.
    1. From the Inbox checking frequency, select one of the following:
      • Never
      • Every 5 minutes
      • Every 10 minutes
      • Every 15 minutes
      • Every 30 minutes
      • Every hour
    2. Select Send email from this account by default to enable or disable.
    3. Select Notify me when email arrives to enable or disable.
    4. Select Sync email from this account to enable or disable.
    Email New Account enter the information in the fields then select Next
  10. Enter an account name then select Next.
    Note Enter a name for outgoing messages.
    Email New Account enter the information in the fields then select Next
