Block / Unblock Numbers - Samsung Galaxy S® III

Note Calls from contacts or phone numbers added to the reject list are automatically ignored and the call is forwarded to voicemail.

Add Block

  1. From a Home screen, tap Phone (lower-left).
    Note If not available, navigate Apps > Phone.
  2. Tap the Menu icon.
  3. Tap Call Settings.
  4. Tap Call block.
  5. Tap Call block list.
  6. If desired, tap Unknown number to reject calls from unknown numbers
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  7. Tap Create.
  8. Enter the 10-digit phone number.
    Note Alternatively, tap the Contacts icon (upper-right) to search and select a contact.
    Note To refine the block, tap Match Criteria then select one of the following options:
    • Exactly the same as
    • Block a specific phone number.
    • Starts with, Ends with, or Includes
    • Block all numbers containing a specific sequence (i.e. all numbers from an Area Code).
  9. Tap Save (upper-right).

Remove Block

  1. From a Home screen, tap Phone (lower-left).
    Note If not available, navigate Apps > Phone.
  2. Tap the Menu icon.
  3. Tap Call Settings.
  4. Tap Call block.
  5. Tap Call block list.
  6. Tap the Trashcan icon (upper-right).
  7. Select the contact(s).
    Note Selected when a check mark is present.
    Note To select all contacts, tap Select all.
  8. Tap Delete (upper-right).
  9. Tap Delete to confirm.
    Note To disable a number on the list without deleting it, uncheck the box next to the desired entry.
