Manage Data Usage - Samsung Galaxy Note® 10.1 2014 Edition

To change the data usage cycle on your device, view data usage and set data warnings and restrictions, view this info.

Note Data usage info provided by the device may differ from actual usage. For data usage info provided by Verizon Wireless, refer to the My Verizon website.

Change Data Usage Cycle

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps Apps.
  2. From the Apps tab, tap Settings.
  3. Tap Data usage.
  4. From the Data usage cycle field, tap the Dropdown menu Drop Down Menu.
  5. Tap Change cycle.
  6. Tap the appropriate date then tap Set.
    Note Refer to the My Verizon website for billing cycle date.

Set Mobile Data Warning

Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange warning line.

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps Apps.
  2. From the Apps tab, tap Settings.
  3. Tap Data usage.
  4. Tap Alert me about data usage to enable.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  5. If presented with Data usage alert, tap OK.
  6. Tap the orange line.
  7. Tap the number.
  8. Enter the preferred warning limit then tap Set.

Set Mobile Data Limit

Caution Mobile data (cellular data) is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependant upon a data connection (e.g., Browser, Email, Google Play, etc.), a Wi-Fi connection can be used or Mobile data must be manually re-enabled (overage charges may apply).

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps Apps.
  2. From the Apps tab, tap Settings.
  3. Tap Data usage.
  4. Tap Limit mobile data usage to enable.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  5. If presented with Limiting data usage screen, review the message then tap OK.
  6. Tap the red line.
  7. Tap the number.
  8. Enter the preferred data usage limit then tap Set.

View Data Usage by App

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps Apps.
  2. From the Apps tab, tap Settings.
  3. Tap Data usage.
  4. Tap an app (located below the usage graph).
  5. View the usage info.
