Factory Data Reset (Powered On) - LG G Pad 8.3 LTE

A factory data reset may help with a blank or frozen screen, apps crashing or freezing, keypad/touchscreen problems, can't hear, device making noises, can't make or receive calls, and device won't sync.

Caution Perform a factory data reset only if absolutely necessary as it removes all settings and data including:

  • Contacts
  • Email accounts
  • System and app data
  • App settings
  • Downloaded apps
  • Media (It is recommended to backup this data)
Note Alternatively, music, pictures and videos can be backed up to a computer.

Note Notes:

  • Personal data (e.g., Wi-Fi passwords, browser bookmarks, etc.) can be backed up to Google's servers.
  • An alternate reset method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.
  • If troubleshooting third-party apps, disable the Automatic Restore option.
  • Before performing a factory reset of the phone, make sure the phone battery level is above 30%. If unsure of the battery level, charge the phone first before resetting the phone. If a factory reset is attempted with a battery level lower than 30%, the phone will not complete the reset until the device is charged to a certain threshold.
