Manage DTMF Tones - The all new HTC One® (M8)

If you're calling into an automated dial-in system (e.g., voicemail) and your dialpad entries aren't being recognized, view this info.

Note Dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tones are used by automated dial-in systems such as voicemail or where prompts are used to navigate.

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps Apps icon (located at the bottom).
  2. Tap Settings.
    Note If unavailable, tap the Dropdown menu Applications dropdown menu icon (located in the upper left) then tap Alphabetical. If still unavailable, refer to Manage App Icons.
  3. From the DEVICE section, tap Sound & notification.
  4. From the SYSTEM section, tap Keypad touch tones then select one of the following:
    Note The Sound profile option (at top of the screen) must be set to Normal to modify DTMF settings.
    • Long tones
    • Short tones
    • Off
