Prior to completing a factory data reset, view this info to ensure apps and settings are backed up.
When attempting to determine whether a third-party app is the cause of an operating system or app issue, ensure Automatic Restore is disabled prior to a performing a factory data reset.
From a Home screen, tap Apps (located at the bottom).
If unavailable, tap the Dropdown menu (located in the upper left) then tap Alphabetical. If still unavailable, refer to Manage App Icons.
From the PERSONAL section, tap Backup and reset.
Tap Back up my data (located at the top).
Tap the Back up my data switch to turn on or off .
With the switch set to on, ensure Automatic restore is checked to enable automatic restoration of backed up settings and other data after an app has been reinstalled,
