  • To share media files, an active Wi-Fi connection must be established. Refer to the following for assistance:
  • To play or copy media to / from other devices (e.g., computer, TV, etc.), they must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and may need to be configured for sharing. Refer to the user manual or contact the equipment manufacturer for assistance.
  • A Miracast-enabled HDTV or a wireless display adapter may be required to view your smartphone's screen via an external display. A wireless display adapter can be purchased from any Verizon Wireless retail store or at the online store.
  • For assistance setting up a Google® Chromecast™ device, refer to this page.
  • Some apps (e.g., YouTube™, Netflix®, etc.) support displaying the app contents on a remote display. Within the app, tap the Cast icon Cast icon then select the desired display from the list.


Here are a few ways to share your screen with a TV. A compatible TV or additional accessories may be required. Check with your TV manufacturer for additional support.

Share Your Screen

Note Follow these steps to view your entire screen contents on your TV.

  1. On the TV, follow the manufacturer's instructions to activate Screen Mirroring.
    Note If using a wireless display adapter, follow the manufacturer's instructions to activate the device.
  2. From a Home screen (on your device), tap Apps Apps icon (located in the lower-right).
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap More networks.
  5. Tap Screen mirroring to turn On switch on or Off switch off.
  6. Tap an available device.
  7. When connected, the device's screen is displayed on the TV.




Share Pictures, Videos or Music

  1. From a Home screen, tap the Apps icon Apps (located in the lower-right).
  2. Tap Gallery, Music, or Video.
  3. Tap Nearby devices.
    Note If Nearby devices doesn't display:
    1. Tap the Menu icon Menu (located on the bottom-left).
    2. Tap Scan for nearby devices.
  4. Tap a device.
  5. To view the picture, song, or video tap the file.
  6. To download the picture, song, or video tap and hold the file then tap Download.
