From a Home screen, navigate: Apps > Settings > App manager (Device section).
If unavailable, tap the Dropdown menu (located in the upper-left) then tap Alphabetical. If still unavailable, refer to Manage App Icons.
From the All tab (located at the top), locate then select the appropriate app.
From the Show notifications section, tap Force stop.
From the "Force stop?" prompt, tap OK to confirm.
Tap Clear data.
Option may not be available for all apps.
Resetting an app or clearing data storage may delete saved info within the app (e.g., calendar events may be lost).
From the "Delete app data?" prompt, tap OK to confirm.
