Reset App - The all new HTC One® (M8)

If your device crashes, resets itself or freezes, it may be caused by apps and this info may help.

Note Personal data such as browser bookmarks and other customized app settings can be backed up to Google's servers.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings > App manager (Device section).
    Note If unavailable, tap the Dropdown menu Applications dropdown menu icon (located in the upper-left) then tap Alphabetical. If still unavailable, refer to Manage App Icons.
  2. From the All tab (located at the top), locate then select the appropriate app.
  3. From the Show notifications section, tap Force stop.
  4. From the "Force stop?" prompt, tap OK to confirm.
  5. Tap Storage.
  6. Tap Clear data.
    Note Option may not be available for all apps.
    Note Resetting an app or clearing data storage may delete saved info within the app (e.g., calendar events may be lost).
  7. From the "Delete app data?" prompt, tap OK to confirm.
