Clear App Cache - Samsung Galaxy S® 5

If your device runs slow, crashes or resets, or apps freeze when running them, clearing the cached data may help.

Clear Individual App Cache

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Applications icon > Settings > Applications (Device section).
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap Application Manager.
  3. Tap the appropriate app.
  4. Tap Storage.
  5. Tap CLEAR CACHE.
    Note This option may not be available for some apps.

 

Clear All Cached Data

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Applications icon > Settings > Storage.
  2. Tap Cached data.
  3. Tap Delete to confirm.
